Welcome and Hiya! My alias is Jim the Cactus, and yes, I'm a nerd. No I'm not afraid to admit it. It's a title I wear with honor. Most people would think of nerd as a derogitory term. However, what most people fail to realize is that it's impossible for a word to be derogitory if it accurately describes the person. Yes, people say it that way attempting to insult others by suggesting that they lack style, or are otherwise complely lacking any form of social savvy. For me however, this is roughly like suggesting to a blind man that he's some kind of bad person because he can't see. He'll just look at you and say, "Yes, I am blind. What does that have to do with anything?" And so do I. I am nerdish because of the choices I made when I was younger, and the way I've decided to live. I have chosen not to bother with the little social games that people play, and to live my life on my terms, and not to let trivial social concerns interfere with what's important. Things like programming, drawing, and video games. Why spend $200 dollars on clothes designed to appease others (while making you suffer) when that same money could be invested into a new bit of computer hardware or a replacement for your toasted game boy.Three fashion fads will have passed in the time a single Playstation 2 takes to get old and break.

As for this site, this is my little place to put the suff I care about. The page code has been hand generated using my two most favorite HTML editors: Notepad and vim. I've used CSS heavily here, although I've used some HTML table formatting to supplement the CSS (To address some of the CSS parsing quirks found in both IE and Mozilla.) As for content, I have links to great web comics, the projects that I've engaged in, the gallaries that contain my artwork, and my blog/Live Journal. Each of these has some kind of importance to me, and demonstrates some aspect of my interests/life style. I encourage everyone to wander about, comment, and see how deep my rather -- unique -- personality can venture into caffine induced insanity.
