Projects

Well, in my many years as a programmer and an inventor, I've come up with dozens of little tools and things to occupy my mind. I've decided that instead of keeping them as entries in my tidbits and news sections, I'd put them in a section completely dedicated to these little projects. Below is a list of my active and completed projects (This list in guaranteed to start small, but it will grow in time.) Not all projects are computer projects (and thus may not have a direct entry) and some I may not have gotten around to writing a page for (Expect a lot of these early on.)

Project List Key

Completed Project Icon - Completed Project (Not working on because I finished)
Active Project Icon - Active Project (Currently, and actively working on)
Considering Project Icon - Projects Currently Under Consideration (Not working on, deciding if plausable. Things I want to do but may not have the skills or resources to accomplish)
Sleeping Project Icon - Sleeping Project (Set aside because of interest or other tasks, can also be a "TODO")
Zombied Project Icon - Zombied Project (Work discontinued before completion. Possibly due to interest or feasibility.)

Sleeping Projects

  • (1 disk down) - Collect all of the Pilot Candidate Zero DVDs
  • (Ongoing) - Be an active member of the Social Stigma forum (The forum isn't particularly frequented.)
  • (75%) Design, develop, test, and maybe distribute a tool for automatic frame distribution, rendering, and collating. (Update: We wrote Autopov2, but it still has a list of shortcomings a mile long, so it still needs more work, but Oni and I aren't doing POVRay at the moment)
  • (90%) Implement/Develop color reduction routines and learn optimization and C/.Net integeration (I just need to clean up the source code, and find a motivation to getting to actually doing that. Except for TI-89 conversions, there seems to be little use for this.)
  • (10%) Implement an 8 bit computer on a FPGA (Did it but wanted to redo it with a 16 bit address bus, multiple instructions, hardware interrupts, stack instructions, etc. So I'm at the drawing board stage again.)
  • (Have the airship in the post appolyptic world) - Beat FF6
