As a service to myself, and my friends, I learned to create color Half-Life tags. Although they are a bit of a hack in the way that Half-Life functions, I feel that they add a very powerful method of self expression to the game. But keeping them working, especially if multiple users use the computer, is difficult. So I sat down and resolved to create a program that would automatically load the Half-Life software after copying the tag file to the appropriate directory. On the left is a screenshot of the results of this project. I am distributing it under the GPL so anyone can mess with it and make it do what they want. Originally I had posted this as a complete project, but upon further inspection I realized there's an entire button on the main GUI I forgot to implement (How do you miss 1 out of 3?!) In any case, the Select Tag Directory button doesn't work. So choose carefully when you initially setup the program. I will get around to fixing this one day... I promise. |
